Privacy Policy
How we handle your personal and health information.
Who we are
MedBridge Dental coordinates dental treatment in Vietnam for patients travelling from Australia. We are a coordination service, not a dental practice. We do not diagnose, treat, or provide clinical advice — that is done by the registered clinicians at the treating clinic.
What we collect
When you request a quote or use our service, we may collect:
- Your name, email address and phone number
- The treatment you are enquiring about
- Dental records you choose to upload — X-rays, treatment plans and quotes from your Australian dentist
- Correspondence between you and our coordinators
- Payment details, processed by our payment provider — we do not store your full card number
Dental records and treatment details are sensitive information under the Privacy Act 1988 (Cth). We collect them only with your consent and only where they are needed to obtain a treatment quote for you.
Why we collect it
- To obtain treatment quotes from clinics on your behalf
- To coordinate your appointments, travel and accommodation
- To communicate with you about your enquiry and treatment
- To meet our legal and record-keeping obligations
Who we share it with
We disclose your information only where it is necessary to deliver the service you have asked for:
- Partner clinics in Vietnam — so they can assess your case and prepare a quote. This means your information is disclosed overseas, and the receiving clinic is subject to Vietnamese law rather than Australian privacy law. We ask for your consent before sending your records to any clinic.
- Our customer relationship and hosting providers — to store and manage your enquiry securely
- Our payment provider — to process payments you choose to make
We do not sell your personal information, and we do not disclose your dental records to anyone for marketing purposes.
Accessing and correcting your information
You can ask us for a copy of the personal information we hold about you, ask us to correct it if it is wrong, or ask us to delete it. Contact us and we will respond within a reasonable period. If we cannot give you access, we will tell you why in writing.
Withdrawing consent
You can withdraw your consent to us holding or sharing your information at any time by contacting us. If you withdraw consent we may no longer be able to coordinate your treatment, and we will tell you if that is the case.
Complaints
If you think we have mishandled your information, contact us first and we will investigate. If you are not satisfied with our response, you can complain to the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner (OAIC) at oaic.gov.au.
